Sanctuary is the Archdiocese of Chicago's TV news magazine program that airs quarterly on ABC Chicago. The program is hosted by Fr. Gregory Sakowicz, rector of Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago. Sanctuary is produced by the Archdiocesan Office of Radio and Television and is taped on location throughout the Chicago area.

Sanctuary airs on the Live Well Network which can be seen over-the-air on ABC 7.2, as well as on Comcast Channel 217, RCN Channel 618, WOW Channel 219, Mediacom Channel 723 and Charter Channel 608.

Sanctuary Fall 2019

In the October edition of Sanctuary, we take you to unity Masses in north-suburban Wilmette and in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood, where parishes have been joined under the Renew My Church initiative. One of our Catholic elementary schools performs the Lion King… you’ll have the best seats in the house. And golden jubilarians renew their vows and share their wisdom on surviving 50 years of marriage.

Fr. Greg Boyle, founder of Homeboy Industries in Los Angeles, talks about combating the culture of violence. Fr. Greg’s presentation was part of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Theology on Tap speakers series.

Spring 2019: Personalized Learning at St. Albert the Great School

St. Albert the Great School has been able to implement a personalized learning program through LEAP Innovations. The school received a grant and donations to fund this program.
