Dawn and Ray offer a tribute to Joe Scheidler – “the Godfather of Pro-life Advocacy” who died at 93 on January 18, 2021. Eric Scheidler, son of Joe and Executive Director of Pro-life Action League shares stories and history of Joe’s legacy. During the last segment of the show, Dawn and Ray introduce Dr. Angela Swain, new director of the Office of Human Dignity and Solidarity.

Dawn and Ray open the show with an interview of Dr Linda Couri, faculty at Mundelein Seminary, who shares her conversion experience as a former Planned Parenthood employee and the discuss the March for Life Chicago Rally in Mundelein, which will be held on Sunday January 17th at 1PM at Carmel High School. Dr Couri is a speaker at the Rally. After Dr Couri, Bob Gilligan from Catholic Conference of Illinois joins the call to discuss the Bishops’ statement on the ethical nature of the Covid-19 vaccines. And finally, Dawn and Ray talk with Tim Koch, who is the coordinator of the Covid-anointing team, on which they all serve. The Covid-anointing team offers anointing of the sick to those Catholic patients in Chicago who are actively dying of Covid-19.

Today on Fully Alive Dawn and Ray welcome Miguel Salazar from Immigration Ministries to discuss the upcoming virtual Posada. Miguel explains the history of the Posada and how it is a seeking of shelter. The Archdiocese will host a virtual Posada on Friday December 18th at 7AM. Dawn and Ray continue the theme of seeking shelter by relating the search for our final home to our search for our destiny. St John Paul II explains our search as culminating in the heavens with God in our time of Eschatological Man. The Wednesday catechesis continues as Dawn and Ray journey through our time of Historical Man – after the fall and banishment from the garden through the coming of Jesus Christ who reveals our identity as sons and daughters of God and the holiness of our bodies.

On Today’s Fully Alive, Dawn and Ray continue the theme of Wednesday Catechesis by delving further into the reflection on “Original Man” by unpacking the theme of Original Nakedness/Innocence. In the second half of the show, they welcome Mauro Pineda from Immigration Ministries to talk about the event “Keep Hope Alive” on October 29. They also discuss Faithful Citizenship and our call as Baptized Catholic Christians to witness to our faith in the public square and on election Day.
